Even though we are already in the middle of January, let me begin by wishing everyone a very Happy New Year. I have been checking my blogger account regularly but haven’t had the chance to write a new post for quite some time since I have been on a month long vacation in Houston, Texas where my entire family (from my husband’s side) had gathered after a gap of more than three years. We all had a great time and now are settling down back into our daily routines.
Meanwhile, blogosphere also brought lots of cheer for me in the new year. As a blogger, I won my first giveaway – the Me Myself and US giveaway which was hosted by Akheela of Create with Mom and Torview. The prize was a Butterfly Cupcake Baking Kit which contained butterfly shaped silicon baking cups, vanilla cake mix, vanilla frosting mix, icing tubes and coloured candies for baking and decorating cute little cupcakes in a jiffy. My daughters and I had a great time together making these colourful cupcakes.

Another good news that I wanted to share with all of you was that my Doll Cake was featured in the Decorating Challenge – Buttercream Icing hosted by Amy of Food Corner.
My Meatball Kabobs won the Good Job Award at the Food of the Month – December ( Festive and Party Foods theme) hosted by Amy of Food Corner. Thanks a lot for hosting these wonderful events Amy.
